The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences:

- Total Call for Service: 289
- 911/PSAP Transfers: 42

Arrests:
- 8 arrests were made throughout the day, including individuals wanted for outstanding warrants, failure to comply, and domestic-related offenses.
Warrants-Case# CK25003068
Date: January 16, 2025, Time: 1350 hrs Location: Third Street, Chatham
Details:
- On January 16, a 51-year-old male, Chatham resident, surrendered himself to outstanding Chatham-Kent Police Service Warrants for two driving related offences which include driving while prohibited and driving with a suspended license. He was released with a court date of February 10, 2025.

Date: January 16, 2025, Time: 1630 hrs Location: Park St. Chatham
Details:
- A-27-year-old male, Chatham resident, was arrested on outstanding DNA warrant. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters where DNA order was executed. He was released unconditionally.
Assault -Case# CK25003097
Date: January 16, 2025, Time: 1601 hrs Location: St. Clair St. Chatham
Details:
- Chatham-Kent Police Service a call for theft from a warehouse. A 40-year-old male, Chatham Township resident, attempted to purchase liquor and requested a cashback transaction. When his card declined, he became aggressive and threw a liquor bottle at an employee. No injuries were reported. The Chatham-Kent Police Service located and arrested the male who has several outstanding warrants with Niagara Regional Police Service. He was subsequently held for bail.

Date: January 16, 2025, Time: 21:31 hrs Location: King St E, Chatham
Details:
- A 26-year-old male, Chatham resident, who is the subject of an endorsed arrest warrant for assault was located at King St E, Chatham. He was released with a court date of February 24, 2025.
