Chatham-Kent Police Service – Daily Report for February 26, 2025
The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences:

Arrests:
• 6 arrests were made throughout the day, including individuals wanted for outstanding warrants, failure to comply, and domestic-related offenses.
Key Incidents:
Impaired Arrest – Case# CK25011918
Date: February 26, 2025, Time: 17:06 hrs., Location: Richmond Street, Chatham
Details:
• On February 26, 2025, at approximately 17:06 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a call for service of an erratic driver operating a motorcycle at the intersection. It was reported that he was pounding his fits on the side of an empty school bus.
• A 30-year-old male from Chatham, was located and identified by the police service. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was subsequently, arrested. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where he underwent testing by a qualified Intoxilyzer technician. The accused was charged with the following:
-Count 1- Operation while impaired – alcohol
-Count 2- Operating a vehicle with blood alcohol concentration exceeding 90 mg.
The accused was released with a future court date of March 17, 2025.
Impaired Arrest – Case# CK25011923
Date: February 26, 2025, Time: 17:30 hrs., Location: Langstaff Line, Wallaceburg
Details:
• On February 26, 2025, at approximately 17:30 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service received several calls for service of an erratic driver. The accused, a 25-year-old Wallaceburg female, was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarter where she was charged with the following:
-Count 1 – Operation while impaired – alcohol
-Count 2 – Operation while impaired – B.A.C. 80 and Above
-Count 3 – Resist Peace Officer
– Count 4 – Assault a Peace Officer
-Count 5 – Uttering threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
-Count 6 – Fail to surrender insurance card Count 7 – Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
The accused was later released with a future court date of March 17, 2025.
Warrants – Case# CK25011941
Date: February 26, 2025, Time: 20:51 hrs., Location: St. Clair Street, Chatham
Details:
• On February 26, 2025, at approximately 20:51 hrs., a 33-year-old female from Chatham-Kent was located by the Chatham-Kent Police Service. She was discovered loitering at a local ATM in Chatham. She was arrested on the strength of an endorsed warrant for failing to comply with a probation order and was released with a future court date of March 31, 2025.
