Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 173 calls for service in the last 24 hours and 8 people were arrested.
Theft – CK24036555
On August 3, 2024, Police were dispatched to a local business in the 800 block of St. Clair St, Chatham. Loss Prevention observed a male stealing items from the store and then fleeing on foot. This male, a 42-year-old Chatham male was located a short distance away by Police and arrested for theft under 5,000 and possession of stolen property. He was transported to Headquarters and released with a future court date.
Break and Enter – CK24036502
Yesterday morning at approximately 7:20am Police were dispatched to a business in the 500 block of Grand Ave, Chatham for a break and enter. It was learned that in the early morning hours a store was broken into, and items were taken. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Cst. Failure to comply with probation order – CK24036638.
Yesterday evening, Police located a 46-year-old Chatham male at an address he is currently bound by a probation order not to attend. He was arrested, transported to Headquarters and released with a future court date.
