The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

IPV – Case# CK25020356/CK25020368
Date: April 9, 2025, Time: 08:41 hrs., Location: Wallaceburg
Details:
On April 9, 2025, at approximately 0841 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a domestic -related incident at a residence at northeast area of Wallaceburg.
A 73-year-old female from Wallaceburg was located outside of the residence. A 78-year-old male from, Wallaceburg and a 61-year-old female was found inside. Through investigation officers discovered that as a result of a relationship breakdown a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation.
The male was arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service and charged with the following:
• Count 1: Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, suffocate or strangle
The 73-year-old female was also arrested and charged with two counts of assault.
The female accused was released with a scheduled future court date of May 5, 2025, and the male accused was also released with a scheduled court date of May 12, 2025.

Count 4: Uttering Threats to Cause Death
The accused is currently being held for bail.
