Chatham-Kent Police Service – Daily Report for April 4-6, 2025
The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 72 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Key Incidents:
Arrest Mischief & FTC (IPV), Case# CK25019236
Date: April 4, 2025, Time: 10:50hrs., Location: Chatham
Details:
As of March 8, 2025, a 36-year-old male from Chatham was subject to an undertaking that included conditions not to attend within 100m of a specific location in Chatham, and not to communicate with a 40-year-old female from Wallaceburg. The Accused and the female were previously in an intimate partnership for approximately five months that has since ended.
On April 4, 2025, at approximately, 10:50 hrs., the accused attended a location in Chatham, in violation of the conditions. He attempted to communicate with the female and when unsuccessful, he threw a chair at the female’s vehicle causing approximately $800 in damage. The Chatham-Kent Police Service attended the scene, arrested the accused. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters.
He was charged with the following:
• Count 1 – Failure to comply with undertaking
• Count 2 – Failure to comply with undertaking
• Count 3 – Mischief under $5,000
The accused is currently being held for bail.
Assault, Case# CK25019634
Date: April 5, 2025, Time: 2217hrs., Location: James St. in Wallaceburg
Details:
On April 5, 2025, at approximately 2217hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service received an assault call for service on James Street in Wallaceburg. The complainant advised that a 32-year-old female from Wallaceburg had thrown a stick at a minor, striking her.
The victim was walking eastbound on James Street with her parent when they passed the accused, who was unknown to them. Without provocation, the accused picked up a stick and threw it at the child, striking her in the side. The victim sustained minor injuries. At approximately 22:27 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service located the suspect on James Street. The suspect matched the description provided by the complainant and was arrested and charged for assault with a weapon. She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and was released with a scheduled court date of May 12, 2025.
Impaired/80 plus Case# CK25019786
Date: April 6, 2025, Time: 18:04 hr., Location: Baptiste Rd., Tilbury
Details:
On April 6, 2025, at approximately 2217hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a vehicle that entered a water-filled ditch approximately 3 to 4 feet of water on Baptiste Road in Tilbury.
Upon arrival, officers entered the water to assist the driver, a 58-year-old male from Tilbury, who appeared disoriented but had no visible signs of injury.
Further investigation determined that the driver was intoxicated, and he was subsequently arrested for impaired operation. Two breath tests were administered, both registering as 180 mg. The accused was charged with impaired driving and 80 plus.
We would like to thank Chatham-Kent Fire Service, who also attended the scene and provided assistance. The vehicle was also recovered from the water. The accused was released with a scheduled court date of April 28, 2025.
