The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Bail Violations/IPV – Case# CK25021570
Date: April 15, 2025, Time: 14:55., Location: Campbell Street, Chatham
Details:
On April 10, 2025, Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a call regarding concerns over threats made during a domestic dispute. The complainant, a 25-year-old female from Chatham reported that her partner, a 33-year-old male from Leamington had made multiple threatening statements, including
intentions to cause harm and damage to the property (CK25020589). Police attended the residence in the southeast area of Chatham and located the male. As a result, the accused was arrested and charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. He was released with conditions
and a scheduled court date of April 14, 2025.
On April 14, 2025, the individual appeared in court and was released on conditions, including immediate surrender of his Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) along with all other related registration certificates. Despite this condition, he refused to surrender these items.
On April 15, 2025, at approximately 14:52 hrs, the male was arrested and charged for failing to comply with his release order. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters, where he was held for bail hearing. At 18:40hrs., that same day, the accused’s family members attended Chatham Kent Police
Service headquarters and turned over an expired PAL. The accused was charged with the following:
• Adult Uttering Threats- Cause death or Bodily Harm
• Adult Uttering Threats- Damage Property
• Adult Failure to Comply with release order- other than to attend court
