The swift action and investigated efforts of the Chatham-Kent Police Service’s Community Patrol officers lead to the recovery of approximately $10,000 in stolen goods.
On July 7, 2026, at approximately 0926hrs, police received a report of a break and enter at business in downtown Chatham.
At approximately 0100hrs, an unknown male entered the building and removed several laptops and their accessories.
Police obtained surveillance video and were able to identify a suspect.
As a result, a 30-year-old Chatham male was arrested for the following offences:
- Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service and held for bail.
