On August 11, 2026, the Chatham-Kent Police Association (CKPA) hosted its annual Rob Herder Memorial Charity Golf Tournament at Willow Ridge Golf and Country Club. This year’s charitable beneficiary was the Chatham-Kent Ontario Student Nutrition Program, helping provide nutritious meals and snacks to local students throughout our local communities.
A total of 120 golfers participated in the tournament, making it one of the association’s most successful events to date. The CKPA extends its gratitude to the Ridge Landfill Community Trust, Johnson Controls, the Chatham-Kent Police Service Board, Clarke’s Construction, Blenheim Canadian Tire, Waltron Trailers and the many other businesses and organizations that stepped forward to support this event.
The Chatham-Kent Police Association also recognizes the many hole sponsors whose contributions played a vital role in the success of the tournament. Their support helped create a first-class experience for our participants while making a meaningful impact on the lives of local students. The association is proud to have so many community-minded businesses and organizations standing behind this important cause.
CKPA would also like to recognize Greg Heatherington and CKXS-FM for their gracious donation of Detroit Tiger baseball tickets that were raffled off at the tournament. His dedication to highlighting local events and community initiatives helps bring people together and contributes to the success of causes like this.
