CK26079920 – Fail to Comply / Intimate Partner Violence

On Sunday, May 24, 2026, a 24-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with assault, uttering threats to cause property damage and mischief under $5,000 against his partner. The Wallaceburg man was subsequently arrested on these charges and was later released on an undertaking with conditions prohibiting him from communicating with the victim indirectly or directly.
Between the dates of September 3, 2026, and October 27, 2026, the Wallaceburg man without reasonable excuse failed to comply with his undertaking by repeatedly communicating with the victim through text messages and numerous telephone calls.
On Thursday, October 29, 2026, at approximately 20:17 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service located and arrested the Wallaceburg man on Montgomery Drive in Wallaceburg in relation to this investigation. The Wallaceburg man was subsequently charged with:
- Fail to comply with undertaking
The accused was then brought to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
