IPV/ Fail to Stop – CK26073137/ CK26073463

Date: October 2, 2026, Time: 10:36 hrs. Location: Wallaceburg

On October 2, 2026, at approximately 10:36 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Wallaceburg.

The investigation revealed that a 38-year-old male from Wallaceburg was irate and screaming while in a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence. Further investigation also revealed that the individual was in breach of his court-ordered conditions, which prohibited him from attending the residence or communicating with individuals at the location.

Officers instructed the male to exit the vehicle, but he failed to comply. The accused then drove off at a high rate of speed, travelling southbound on Chestnut Drive, where he continued through the neighbourhood at approximately 80 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone.

As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the following charges:

  • Count 1: Failure to Comply with a Release Order
  • Count 2: Failure to Comply with a Release Order
  • Count 3: Failure to Comply with a Release Order
  • Count 4: Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Count 5: Flight from a peace officer

On October 3, 2026, officers observed the accused travelling northbound in a vehicle on St. Clair Road in Chatham. He was arrested and transported to South West Detention Centre (SWDC), where he will remain in custody until his next scheduled video court appearance on October 5, 2026.

Public Intoxication – CK26073600

Date: October 3, 2026, Time: 00:33 hrs. Location: Dufferin Avenue, Wallaceburg

On October 3, 2026, at approximately 12:33 hrs., Chatham-Kent police responded to a report of a woman stumbling and causing a disturbance on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Officers located a 23-year-old woman who was intoxicated and unable to care for herself. She was taken to police headquarters and held until she was sober. The individual was issued a provincial offence notice for public intoxication.

Date: October 4, 2026, Time: 07:13 hrs. Location: Grande River Line, Dover

On October 4, 2026, at approximately 7:13 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a single-vehicle collision on Grande River Line, Dover.

The investigation revealed that a 40-year-old female from Dover Township had struck a telephone pole. No injuries were reported. The driver was issued a PON for careless driving and a seven-day licence suspension.

Date: October 4, 2026, Time: 07:39 hrs. Location: Chatham

On October 4, 2026, at approximately 07:39 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a dispute at a residence in Chatham.

The investigation determined that the accused, a 27-year-old male from Chatham who was in breach of his court-ordered conditions, broke into the residence of the victim, a 23-year-old female from Chatham. The accused damaged property, uttered threats, and assaulted the victim by striking her in the face, causing a minor injury. The accused also assaulted the victim’s dog. No injuries to the dog were reported.

The accused surrendered himself to police. As a result of the investigation, he was charged with the following:

  • Count 1 – Breach of Recognizance
  • Count 2 – Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence
  • Count 3 – Mischief
  • Count 4 – Causing Unnecessary Suffering to an Animal
  • Count 5 – Assault
  • Count 6 – Uttering Threats
  • Count 7 – Breach of Recognizance
  • Count 8 – Mischief

He was arrested and transported to South West Detention Centre (SWDC), where he will remain in custody until his next scheduled video court appearance on October 5, 2026.
