On September 28, 2026, at approximately 13:04 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police responded to a single-vehicle collision near A.D. Shadd Line and Seventh Line.
Through investigation, officers determined the driver, a 21-year-old Raleigh Township man, was impaired by alcohol. He was transported to police headquarters where breath samples registered more than three times the legal limit.
As a result, the man was charged with impaired operation and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was later released with a future court date of November 4, 2026.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service continues to investigate a home invasion robbery that occurred on Delaware Avenue in Chatham on August 10, 2026.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, a 42-year-old Chatham woman was wanted in connection with the incident. On September 28, 2026, she attended Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and turned herself in. She was arrested, processed, and released with a future court date of December 12, 2026.
She is facing the following charges: Break & enter, Armed Robbery, Assault, Disguise with intent, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, and Uttering Threats.
IPV Assault – CK26072122
Date: September 28, 2026, 13:04 hrs. Location: Grand Avenue E, Chatham
On September 28, 2026, at approximately 10:05 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Grand Avenue E, Chatham involving an intimate partner violence incident.
During the investigation, officers determined a 44-year-old Chatham man had assaulted his partner during an altercation. The man was arrested and charged with assault. Due to multiple outstanding release orders, he was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Warrant Arrests
On September 28, 2026, officers arrested a 24-year-old Chatham Township man on the strength of a surety relief warrant. Police also had grounds to arrest him for failing to comply with a release order. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
On the same day, officers arrested a 43-year-old Chatham-Kent man on an outstanding warrant related to multiple intimate partner violence charges. He was also held in custody pending a bail hearing.
