On April 8, 2025, at approximately 20:15 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a domestic dispute at a residence in Chatham (CK25020271).
The investigation revealed that during the dispute the accused, a 39-year-old male from Chatham, assaulted a 38-year-old victim by placing his hands around her neck, pushing her to the ground and continuing to assault her. The accused also uttered threats toward the victim before leaving the residence.
Further investigation revealed that the accused was in breach of his court-ordered conditions, which prohibited him from communicating with the victim or attending any location where she was known to be.
At approximately 22:44 hrs, police located and arrested the accused. He was charged with the following:
- Count 1: Failure to Comply with Release Order
- Count 2: Assault
- Count 3: Assault
- Count 4: Uttering Threats to Cause Death
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was released with conditions, including the provision of a DNA sample, and a scheduled court date of May 16, 2025. When the accused failed to attend court, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On September 14, 2026, the accused was located on Grand Avenue West, Chatham. He was arrested on the strength of his outstanding warrant and was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was later released with a scheduled future court date.

On September 14, 2026, at approximately 13:11 hrs., members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a domestic related disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
The investigation revealed that a verbal argument between a 52-year-old male from Chatham and a 50-year-old female victim, also from Chatham, had escalated into a physical assault where the accused grabbed and twisted the arm of the victim. The victim did not require additional medical attention.
As a result of the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Count 1: Assault
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was later released with conditions and a scheduled court date of October 21, 2026.
