Break and Enter– CK26057540
Date: August 6, 2026, 12:39 hrs
Location: Joseph Street, Chatham
On August 6, 2026, at approximately 12:39 hrs., members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a residence on Joseph Street, Chatham.
Officers attended the scene and located a 37-year-old male from Chatham inside the residence. The investigation determined the accused had forced open a rear door, causing damage to the door frame before entering the home without lawful consent.
Subsequently, the individual was arrested and charged with the following offence:
- Break and Enter to Commit Mischief
Further investigation also revealed that the accused possessed an outstanding warrant for Failing to Comply with Probation.
The accused was transported to South West Detention Centre (SWDC), where he will remain in custody until his next scheduled video court appearance on August 14, 2026.
Arrest Assault – CK26057653
Date: August 6, 2026, 23:43 hrs
Location: North Street, Dresden
On August 6, 2026, at approximately 23:43 hrs., members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an assault involving two individuals who were not known to one another on North Street, Dresden.
Through investigation, officers learned that the victim, a 17-year-old female from Florence, was walking when she was approached by a 34-year-old female accused from Chatham-Kent.
The accused struck the victim in the face, causing minor injuries. No additional medical attention was required.
Officers arrived and the individual was located a short time later. The accused was arrested and charged with the following:
- Count 1: Assault
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where she is currently held for bail.
