The Chatham-Kent Police Service is investigating a Fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on Jeanettes Creek and Coutts Line, Tilbury Township
On the 4th of August 2026, around 6:00 pm, emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Jeanettes Creek and Coutts Line. A pick-up truck travelling westbound on Coutts line collided with a dump truck traveling southbound within the intersection of Jeanettes Creek and Coutts line
The 44-year-old male operating the pickup truck sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. The driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, members of the Traffic Management Unit attended the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Jeanettes Creek and Coutts Line were closed for several hours but has since reopened.
The investigation remains ongoing.
