Impaired – CK26055291

Date: July 28, 2026, 17:49 hrs

Location: Gray Line, Tilbury, Ontario

On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at approximately 17:49 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an intimate partner violence incident on Gray Line in Tilbury.

Through investigation, police learned that a verbal argument had taken place between two partners. The argument escalated when the accused attempted to strike their partner with her vehicle.

Police located the subject vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, officers formed grounds to believe the driver was impaired by alcohol. The female driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Operation while impaired by alcohol
  • Dangerous operation
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was later released on an undertaking with conditions and a future court date of August 31, 2026.

Break and Enter – CK26055334

Date: July 28, 2026, 21:37 hrs

Location: Gillard Street, Wallaceburg, ON

On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at approximately 21:37 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a break and enter on Gillard Street in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police learned that a verbal argument had taken place between a male and a female. As a result of the argument, the female asked the male to leave the residence.

The male later returned, broke a window to gain entry to the residence, and once inside, slapped the victim across the face.

As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with:

  • Breaking and entering to commit assault

The accused was then brought to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was later released on an undertaking with conditions and a future court date of August 31, 2026.
