The Chatham-Kent Police Service is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of A.D. Shadd Road and 9th line in the town of North Buxton.

On the 8th of July 2026, at approximately 12:40 pm, emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision on A.D. Shadd Road. A man driving northbound on a motorcycle and a man driving southbound in a motor vehicle collided.

The 31-year-old male operating the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. The driver of the motor vehicle was uninjured.

Due to the severity of the collision, members of the Traffic Management Unit attended the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. A.D. Shadd Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

The police service would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time.
