Break and Enter – CK26048019
Date: July 2, 2026, 1156hrs Location: Queens Line, Chatham
On July 2, 2026 at approximately 1156hrs, police were notified of an alarm at a building on Queens Line.
Upon arrival, police noted that one of the building’s windows had been smashed and a door had been forced open.
Police proceeded to clear the building and located a male inside.
A 35-year-old Blenheim male was arrested for Break and Enter.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters.
Once there, officers determined that the male was under mental and physical distress, at which point he was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical care.
Assault (IPV) – CK26048036
Date: July 2, 2026, 1308hrs Location: Wallaceburg
On July 2, 2026, at approximately 1308hrs, a female attended the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters to report an assault from the previous day.
Through investigation, police learned that she had been punched, choked and threatened with a hammer.
As a result, a 42-year-old Wallaceburg male was arrested for the following offences:
- Assault
- Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, Suffocate or Strangle
- Assault With a Weapon
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
