Operation While Impaired – CK26038986
Date: May 31, 2026, 22:05hrs Taylor Avenue, Chatham
On May 31, 2026, at approximately 2205hrs, police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Taylor Avenue after receiving a driving complaint.
Police requested the driver provide a sample of his breath into an Approved Screening Device. After the device registered a “Fail”, the male was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for further testing, which revealed a Blood Alcohol Concentration over the legal limit.
As a result, a 53-year-old Chatham male was charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus).
He was released on a Form 10 with a court date of July 13, 2026.
Assault (IPV) – CK26038870
Date: May 30, 2026, 12:37hrs Location: Chatham
On May 30, 2026, at approximately 1237hrs, police were dispatched to a north Chatham residence.
Investigation revealed that a male party had threatened to destroy a female’s vehicle.
As a result, a 53-year-old Chatham male was arrested for Uttering Threats.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service’s headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of June 30, 2026.
Operation While Impaired – CK26038986
Date: May 30, 2026, 19:21 hrs Lagoon Road, Erieau
On May 30, 2026, at approximately 1921hrs, police received a call from a female who was unaware of her surroundings. Police located the intoxicated female inside a vehicle on Lagoon Road.
Through investigation, police formed grounds to demand a sample of the driver’s breath.
She was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for further testing, which revealed a Blood Alcohol Concentration over the legal limit.
As a result, a 68-year-old Blenheim female was charged with the following offences:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
She was released on a Form 10 with a court date of July 6, 2026.
Mischief – CK26038515
Date: May 29, 2026, 10:38hrs Location: Sheldon Avenue, Chatham
On May 29, 2026, at approximately 10:38hrs, police attended an address on Sheldon Avenue after a rock was thrown through the window of a residence.
As a result, an 18-year-old Chatham male was arrested for Mischief Under $5,000.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of August 18, 2026.
