Mischief – CK26037810

Location: Park Street, Chatham, ON
On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at approximately 06:17hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a residence on Park Street in Chatham regarding a mischief complaint.
Officers reviewed surveillance footage which showed a woman entering a neighbouring property and removing a plant from the front yard before throwing it onto the lawn.
Police later located and arrested a 48-year-old Chatham woman in connection with the incident.
Further investigation revealed the accused was bound by a peace bond with conditions, including not communicating with the victims and not causing unreasonable disturbances.
As a result, the 48-year-old Chatham woman was charged with:
- Mischief under $5,000
- Breach of Recognizance
She was then transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and later released with a future court date of August 18, 2026.
Assault – CK26037869

Location: Longwoods Road, Chatham, ON
On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at approximately 10:58hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a disturbance at a residence on Longwoods Road in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that an altercation occurred between two individuals known to each other. During the incident, one individual was assaulted.
As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
- Assaulting a Peace Officer
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where they were held for bail.
