Location: Azar Avenue, Tilbury
On Thursday, May 7, 2026, at approximately 06:30hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in Tilbury.
Through investigation, officers formed grounds to believe the involved driver was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. The individual was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old Tilbury man has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80mg
The accused was later released with a future court date of June 19, 2026.

Location: Chatham
On Thursday, May 7, 2026, at approximately 14:39hrs members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a disturbance call at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation officers learned an altercation had occurred between two individuals known to one another. As a result, one individual was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
A 19-year-old Toronto man has been charged with Assault.
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he has been held pending a bail hearing.
