On May 6, 2026, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Intelligence Unit, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

The warrants were executed at a residence on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham and on a motor vehicle associated with the investigation. At approximately 12:52 p.m., officers made entry to the residence, where four individuals were located and arrested.

As a result of a systematic search of the residence and vehicle, officers seized the following items:

  • 217 grams of cocaine
  • 12.5 grams of fentanyl
  • A loaded Glock .40 calibre handgun with a prohibited overcapacity magazine
  • A loaded Glock 9mm handgun with a prohibited overcapacity magazine
  • A Glock handgun replica CO2 BB gun
  • A pellet gun
  • Digital scales
  • Canadian currency

The estimated street value of the seized controlled substances is approximately $24,200.

All four accused were held in custody pending bail hearings and are jointly facing multiple serious criminal charges, including:

The combination of illicit drugs and weapons increases the likelihood of violence, addiction, and harm within our community. The seizure of illicit drugs and loaded firearms in this investigation underscores the very real dangers associated with these activities.
