Warrant/Fail to Attend Court – CK26031336

Date: May 4, 2026, 14:29hrs                        Location: James Street, Wallaceburg

On May 4, 2026, at approximately 14:29 hours, the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted patrol on James Street in Wallaceburg. During this time, officers located a 42-year-old Wallaceburg woman who was the subject of an unendorsed arrest warrant for failing to attend court.

Upon her arrest, she was transported to police headquarters where she is currently being held for a bail hearing.

Assault – CK26031368

Date: May 4, 2026, 16:39hrs                        Location: Taylor Park, Chatham

On April 28, 2026, at approximately 20:29 hours, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a reported assault at Taylor Park, located at 178 King St. E, Chatham. It was reported that two 13-year-old youths had been assaulted while at the park.  Upon arrival, officers observed that one victim was visibly upset, with minor physical injuries.

Through investigation, officers learned the victims were at the park to meet friends when they were confronted by a group of youths who harassed them. After attempting to distance themselves, one of the victims was physically assaulted, while the other was physically restrained.

On May 5, 2026, the 15-year-old female Chatham youth turned herself in at police headquarters and was released with conditions and a future court date of July 8, 2026.

Assault with a Weapon– CK26031423

Date: May 4, 2026, 21:00hrs                        Location: Gillard Street, Wallaceburg

On March 26, 2026, at approximately 21:41 hours, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an assault complaint at a residence on Gillard Street in Wallaceburg. Upon arrival officers spoke with a woman who reported being assaulted by an unknown female.

The complainant provided a verbal description and video evidence showing the suspect approaching her, asking to use her phone, and then throwing a can of beer at her chest when refused.

Later that evening, the complainant reported that someone had identified the suspect in a Facebook group. The officer contacted the commenter, who confirmed the suspect’s identity.

On May 4, 2025, at approximately 21:00 hours the 30-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was located and arrested by Walpole Island Police and subsequently released with conditions and a future court date of June 22, 2026.
