Impaired Driving – CK26029576
Date: April 28, 2026, 01:33hrs Location: Park Avenue East, Chatham
On April 28, 2026, at approximately 01:33 hours, Chatham-Kent Police officers responded to a report from an employee at a gas station located on Park Avenue E, Chatham regarding a female who appeared to be slumped over the steering wheel of her vehicle in the parking lot.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a female in the driver’s seat, exhibiting signs of impairment. After identifying herself, the female was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Following several demands for testing, she refused to comply with further testing procedures.
The 31-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested and subsequently released on a Form 9 with a future court date. Her vehicle was towed from the scene, and her driver’s license has been suspended.

On April 28, 2026, at approximately 3:41 hours Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a disturbance in Tilbury, Ontario.
At the time of the incident, the female victim was attempting to sleep when the male entered the room and assaulted her, causing her to choke briefly and sustain a minor injury from a lit cigarette. This prompted her to call 911 for assistance.
Upon arrival, officers located the male on the front lawn and the female inside the residence. Following discussions with both parties, grounds were established for the male’s arrest on charges of Assault Causing Bodily Harm (Choking), contrary to section 267 (c) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The 63-year-old Tilbury man was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is being held for a bail hearing.
Additionally, the man is wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Essex.
