CK26020917– Break and Enter
Date: March 24, 2026, Time: 18:35 hrs., Location: Murray Street, Wallaceburg
On March 24, 2026, at approximately 18:35 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of theft on Murray Street, Wallaceburg.
Through investigations, police learned that a 44-year-old male from Wallaceburg had entered a residence without permission and removed property from the home.
Officers arrived and located the accused. He was subsequently arrested and charged with the following offence:
- Count 1: Break, Enter with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was later released with a scheduled court date of June 24, 2026.
CK26020973– Warrants
Date: March 24, 2026, Time: 05:47 hrs., Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham
On November 19, 2024, a vehicle was reported stolen from within Chatham-Kent. On November 29, 2024, at approximately 01:21 hrs., a Chatham-Kent Police Service officer observed the vehicle traveling westbound on Dufferin Avenue, Wallaceburg (CK24061399).
A traffic stop was made and a 41-year-old male from Chatham fled on foot from the scene. Officers formed grounds to charge the accused with the following:
- Possession of Property obtained by Crime Under $5,000
A warrant was issued for his arrest.
On July 28, 2025, at approximately 16:00 hrs., the accused was located on Pine Street, Chatham and was arrested on the strength of his outstanding warrant. He was released with a future court date of September 22, 2025 (RM25003560) which he failed to attend.
An endorsed warrant was issued for his arrest.
On March 24, 2026, at approximately 5:47 hrs., the accused was located on Grand Avenue West, Chatham. He was arrested on the strength of his outstanding warrant.
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was later released with conditions and scheduled future court date.
CK26021008– Bail Violations
Date: March 25, 2026, Time: 05:47 hrs., Location: King Street West, Chatham
On March 25, 2026, at approximately 5:55 hrs. the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a call for service on King Street West, Chatham regarding an unwanted individual inside a business vestibule.
Upon arrival, officers located a 39-year-old male from Chatham-Kent sleeping inside the vestibule. Through investigations, officers learned that the individual was bound by a probation order prohibiting him from attending the downtown location.
The individual was arrested and charged with the following:
- Count 1: Failure to Comply with Probation Order
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently held for bail.
