Arrest/Assault – CK26019399
Date: March 18, 2026, Time: 15:00 hrs., Location: Berry Street, Chatham
On March 18, 2026, at approximately 15:00 hrs., Chatham-Kent Police Service officers responded to a 911 hang-up call in Berry Street, Chatham.
Upon further investigation, officers learned that a 32-year-old male accused and a youth were involved in a verbal dispute which escalated to a physical assault. No additional medical attention was required.
As a result of the investigation, the 32-year-old male accused was charged with the following:
- Count 1: Assault
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters where he was later released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of June 29, 2026.
Arrest/Warrants – CK26019450
Date: March 18, 2026, Time: 18:32 hrs., Location: Sheldon Avenue, Chatham
On March 8, 2026, at approximately 2:52 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an intimate partner dispute at a residence in Chatham.
Investigations revealed that a 44-year-old accused and a 46-year-old female victim were involved in a verbal dispute that escalated to a physical altercation. The accused later left the scene and no injuries were reported.
Further investigations also revealed that the accused was bound by a release order with conditions, including a requirement not to attend within 50 metres of the residence.
Officers formed reasonable grounds to charge the individual with the following:
- Count 1: Failure to Comply with the Undertaking
Subsequently, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On March 18, 2026, at approximately 18:32 hrs., the accused was located on Sheldon Avenue, Chatham. He was arrested on the strength of his outstanding warrant and was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he is currently held for bail.
Arrest/Warrants – CK26019407
Date: March 18, 2026, Time: 15:49 hrs., Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham
On March 18, 2026, at approximately 10:42 hrs., Chatham-Kent Police Service officers received a report that a female suspect attended a store located on Grand Avenue West, Chatham selected merchandise and left without making a payment.
Through video surveillance, the accused was identified as a 50-year-old female from Chatham.
Officers formed reasonable grounds to charge the accused with the following:
- Count 1: Theft Under $5,000
- Count 2: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Subsequently, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
At approximately 15:49 hrs., the accused was located on Grand Avenue West, Chatham. She was arrested on the strength of her outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and was released with a scheduled future court date of April 15, 2026.
Arrest/IPV FTC – CK26019476
Date: March 18, 2026, Time: 20:24 hrs., Location: Wallaceburg
On March 18, 2026, at approximately 20:24 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an intimate partner dispute at a residence in Wallaceburg.
Through the investigation, it was revealed that a 60-year-old male was in breach of previously imposed conditions, including failing to comply with an undertaking not to communicate with or attend the residence of a 52-year-old female, both residents of Wallaceburg.
The accused was located at the residence. He was arrested and charged with the following:
- Count 1: Failure to Comply with the Undertaking
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently held for bail.
