On December 26, 2025, at approximately 02:32 hrs., police responded to a report indicating that a female had arrived at the complainant’s home with injuries, claiming she was assaulted by her ex-partner.
Police attended and through investigation formed ground to arrest the man. When the man could not be located, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The victim was provided assistance from Victim Services and EMS.
On January 15, 2026, the 45-year-old Chatham-Kent man was located on Grand Avenue West in Chatham and arrested. He was transported to police headquarters and held a bail hearing pending.
He has been charged with the following offences:
• Three counts of Failing to comply with a probation order
• Break and Enter commit assault

Date: January 15, 2026, Time: 16:28 hrs., Location: Wellington Street E, Chatham
On January 11, 2026, at 19:45hrs, police responded to a mischief report at a residence on Patteson Avenue in Chatham. The complainant reported that her son broke her television during a verbal argument.
When the man could not be located, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On January 15, 2026, at 16:28hrs, police observed the man in a taxicab on Wellington Street East in Chatham. The 30-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested for mischief and on a bench warrant for another matter. He was transported to police headquarters and held a bail hearing pending.
He is currently facing the following charges:
• Two counts of failing to comply with a probation order
• Mischief under $5000
