On December 22, 2025, at approximately 14:30hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service – Emergency Response Team (ERT), with assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police executed two warrants at a residence on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.

The area was secured, and containment was established as a precaution to ensure public and officer safety while judicial authorization to enter the residence was obtained.

After continued communication and tactical coordination, police executed the warrants and entered the residence. Two individuals, a 41-year-old male and a 35-year-old male both from Wallaceburg were located and arrested without incident.

The Ontario Provincial Police arrested the 41-year-old male in relation to OPP led charges and assumed custody of him. The Chatham-Kent Police Service arrested and assumed custody of the second accused, the 35-year-old male. He was charged with the following offences:

  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Possession of a controlled substance (Illicit Drugs)
  • Fail to attend court
  • Possession of stolen property

No injuries were reported and there was no risk to the public.

Streets that were temporarily closed during the incident have since reopened.
