The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Mischief – CK25075221

Date: December 15, 2025, Time: 07:22 hrs Location: Third Street, Chatham

On December 15, 2025, at approximately 07:22 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of mischief at a retail store on Third Street, Chatham.

Investigations revealed that a male entered the store yelling at employees regarding a previous order he placed, caused damage to store property and left the premises.

A short while later, officers located the suspect, a 29-year-old male accused from Chatham-Kent. He was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Count 1: Mischief Under $5,000

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date.

Mischief (IPV) – CK25075354

Date: December 15, 2025, Time: 20:11hrs, Location: Chatham

On December 15, 2025, at approximately 20:11hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an intimate partner at a residence in Chatham.

Officers attended the address and located a 33-year-old female accused from Chatham-Kent outside the residence. Upon entry, officers observed damage to the residence, the complainant advised officers that the damage had occurred while he was not present.

As a result of the investigation the accused was arrested and charged with the following offence:

Count 1: Mischief Under $5000

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where she is currently held for bail.

Date: December 15, 2025, Time: 14:32 hrs, Location: McNaughton, Wallaceburg

On July 3, 2025, at approximately 4:18 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a stolen bicycle on Cellular Street in Chatham.

Investigations revealed that a 41-year-old female from Chatham-Kent had taken a bicycle and left the area. Officers located the individual and the bicycle was returned to the owner.

Further investigation revealed that the accused had several outstanding warrants and as a result she was arrested and charged with the following offence:

  • Count 1: Theft Under $5000

The accused was given a court date which she failed to attend on several occasions. A warrant was issued for her arrest (RM25004003).

On December 16, 2025, at approximately 14:32 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service located and arrested the accused on the strength of an outstanding warrant for Failing to Attend Court.

She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where she is currently held for bail.

Date: December 15, 2025, Time: 14:32 hrs, Location: 24 Third Street Chatham.

On June 20, 2025, at approximately 11:10 p.m. the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an impaired driver. The driver was identified as a 31-year-old female from Chatham who was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under a driving probation.

The driver was arrested and charged with Failure or refusal to comply with a demand and operation while prohibited. She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service where she was released with conditions and a court date of July 10, 2025, which she failed to attend.

A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest.

On December 15, 2025, at approximately 08:40 hrs, the accused who is the subject of an endorsed outstanding warrant for failing to attend court turned herself in at Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters. She was released with a future court date of January 9, 2026.
