The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Arrest/Warrants – CK25069591

Date: November 19, 2025, Time: 10:31 hrs, Location: Richmond St. Chatham

On May 12, 2025, at approximately 7:26 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a Break and Enter at a business on Riverview Drive, Chatham (CK25027348).

Investigations revealed that a male suspect entered the business through an insecure roof access door and stole several items. Further investigation using surveillance footage, identified the suspect as a 48-year-old male from Chatham-Kent.

Officers formed reasonable and probable grounds to charge the accused with the following offence:

  • Count 1- Break and Enter Commit Theft

On November 19, 2025, at approximately 10:32 hrs, the accused who possessed an outstanding warrant was located and arrested on Richmond Street, Chatham.  The accused was held for bail.

Arrest/Threats – CK25069715

Date: November 19, 2025, Time: 21:33 hrs, Location: Richmond Street, Chatham

On November 19, 2025, at approximately 21:33 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of threats at a residence on Richmond Street, Chatham.

Investigations revealed that the accused, a 45-year-old male from Chatham-Kent confronted a 29-year-old victim from Chatham at her residence and made threats to harm her and other individuals.

Subsequently, the individual was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm – x 2

Further investigations also revealed that on September 5, 2025, the accused entered into a Recognizance of Bail with conditions to keep the peace and to be of good behavior. It was determined that accused was in breach of his conditions. Officers formed reasonable grounds to charge the individual also with the following:

  • Breach of Recognizance

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently held for bail.

Arrest/Threats – CK25069717

Date: November 19, 2025, Time: 21:33 hrs, Location: Duke St., Wallaceburg

On November 5, 2025, at approximately 15:30 hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service officers responded to a report of a 31-year-old male from Harwich Township who was previously released on conditions prohibiting direct or indirect communication with a 27-year-old female victim also from Harwich Township. It was learned that the accused breached these conditions which was from a prior domestic investigation incident.

Officers formed reasonable grounds to charge the accused with the following offence:

  • Count 1: Fail to Comply with Undertaking

A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On November 19, 2025, at approximately 21:41 hrs, the accused who was the subject of an endorsed arrest warrant for Fail to Comply with Undertaking was located and arrested. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.

Arrest/LLCA – CK25069710

Date: November 19, 2025, Time: 20:48 hrs, Location: Glenwood, Chatham

On November 19, 2025, at approximately 20:48 hrs Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Glenwood Drive in Chatham involving an intoxicated male who was attempting to assault individuals at a private gathering.

Upon arrival, officers located the individual, a 24-year-old male from Chatham, outside the residence. The individual displayed signs of impairment.

Officers formed reasonable and probable grounds to arrest him for being intoxicated in a public place. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service where he was released on a Provincial Offence Notice (PON) once safe to do so.

Arrest/Trespassing – CK25069738

Date: November 19, 2025, Time: 13:16 hrs, Location: Queen Street North, Tilbury

On November 19, 2025, at approximately 13:16 hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of two individuals observed within a fenced commercial property on Queen Street North, Tilbury.

Upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old male from Chatham and a 30-year-old female also from Chatham, hiding inside the fence area of the business. No items were reported stolen or damaged and in consultation with the property owner, both individuals were released with Provincial Offence notices for Trespassing.

Stolen Vehicle – CK25069583

Date: November 19, 2025, Time: 13:16 hrs, Location: Evergreen Line Camden Township

The Chatham-Kent Police Service is investigating the overnight theft of a yellow Massy-Ferguson 300 backhoe from a property on Evergreen Line Camden Township. Anyone with information is asked to contact CKPS or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
