On November 1, 2025, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service proudly participated in the annual Rucksack March for Remembrance held at Kingston Park. Each member completed a 22-kilometre march while carrying 50 pounds in support of Wounded Warriors Canada and their initiatives for Trauma Exposed Professionals and their families. These programs are dedicated to healing, recovery and restoring well-being.

This marks the third year that Chatham has hosted the event locally, with CKPS members taking part once again. The team set a fundraising goal of $1,000 and is proud to share that they surpassed it, raising $1,079.

Additionally, Chatham’s event raised an impressive $35,903 in total, making it the highest-earing Rucksack March location across Canada this year. This is a tremendous achievement for the community.

“On behalf of our team and the event organizers, thank you to everyone for your generous support and donations. Your encouragement means a great deal to us and to those who benefit from these programs” said Detective Josh Rose.

The CKPS team is already looking forward to next year’s march, scheduled for November 7, 2026, and hopes to see even more participation and support as they continue to make a difference.
