The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.
Arrest, Warrants – CK25063914
Date: October 22, 2025, Time: 09:09hrs, Location: Wallace Street, Wallaceburg
On October 16, 2025, at approximately 07:08 hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of theft at a local retail store on McNaughton Avenue, Wallaceburg.
Investigation revealed that a 28-year-old female from Chatham-Kent entered the retail store, selected several merchandise items and exited the store without the attempt to make a payment. The individual fled the scene on foot. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
On October 22, 2025, at approximately, 09:09 hrs the accused was located by officers on Wallace Street, Wallaceburg. She was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Theft Under $5,000.00
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where, she was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of November 18, 2025.
Arrest, Weapons – CK25063933
Date: October 22, 2025, Time: 09:09 hrs, Location: Wellington Street, Wallaceburg
On October 22, 2025, at approximately 09:09 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Wellington Street, Wallaceburg.
Investigation revealed that during a family dispute, a 20-year-old male from Chatham-Kent became involved in a verbal altercation with a 48-year-old male from Wallaceburg that escalated when the accused used a weapon and made threats towards the other individual. The accused then exited the premises.
Police located the accused on West court, Wallaceburg. Subsequently, he was charged with the following offences:
- Count 1: Utter Threats to cause Death of Bodily Harm
- Count 2: Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Count 3: Assault with a Weapon
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.
Arrest, Warrants – CK25064029
Date: October 22, 2025, Time: 20:35 hrs, Location: George Street, Dresden
On December 27, 2023, at approximately 03:07 hrs the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of mischief.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle was damaged by a 22-year-old male from Dresden, where a large object was thrown at the windshield, causing significant damage.
He is facing the following offence:
- Count 1: Mischief Under $5,000
The individual was provided with the court date of March 11, 2024, which he failed to attend. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 19, 2025, the accused was arrested on the strength of the warrant. He was charged additionally with the following offence:
- Count 2: Failure to Comply with Undertaking
The individual was released with a future court date of May 26, 2025, which he also failed to attend. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
On October 22, 2025, at approximately 20:35 hrs, the accused who is the subject of an arrest warrant for Failing to attend court (RM25003063), was located and arrested.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.
