Date: October 5, 2025, Time: 03:36 hrs., Location: West Court, Wallaceburg
On October 4, 2025, at approximately 3:36 a.m., police responded to a disturbance at a home on West Court, in Wallaceburg.
Officers arrived on the scene and found a pregnant woman visibly upset and advising she was in medical distress. EMS was requested to attend the scene.
Through investigation officers learned when the woman opened the door to her apartment, the man forcibly grabbed her, threw her to the ground and began assaulting her.
After the assault, she managed to crawl back into the residence to call for help.
The 28-year-old Dresden man was subsequently located and placed under arrest for assault causing bodily harm. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Date: October 5, 2025, Time: 02:26 hrs., Location: St. Clair/McNaughton Avenue, Chatham
On October 5, 2025, at approximately 2:20 a.m., police responded to an incident involving an electric bike in a parking lot on St. Clair St, between McFarlane Avenue and McNaughton Avenue in Chatham.
Upon arrival, officers found a man sitting on the ground with visible injuries and the E-bike laying on its side nearby. EMS tended to injuries.
The investigating officer observed the man showing various signs of impairment while speaking with paramedics. Through investigation officers learned he had been consuming alcohol at an establishment near by and was driving the E-bike through the parking lot when he hit a curb and fell over.
The 45-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for further tests. While being transported the man advised he was experiencing discomfort as a result of the incident and was transported to the hospital for additional medical treatment.
A qualified breath technician attended the hospital and continued the process. He was charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was subsequently released on form 10, with conditions and a future court date of October 22, 2025.

Date: October 5, 2025, Time: 05:51 hrs., Location: Sheldon Avenue, Chatham
On October 5, 2025, police responded to a reported incident of intimate partner violence at a home on Sheldon Avenue in Chatham.
Upon arrival at the location, officers located a man, inside the residence and believed him to be under the influence of a controlled substance. The female resident confirmed that the male was not permitted to be at the residence. Additionally, two witnesses reported that they had been threatened by the male.
The 23-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested for unlawfully being in a dwelling house and uttering threats. He was transported to police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing
