Chatham-Kent, ON – On October 1, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of commercial break and enter at a local business on St. Clair Street in Chatham. Several electronic items, including an e-bike, were reported stolen. Through the use of surveillance video and other investigative methods, officers were able to identify the individuals responsible for the incident.
As a result of the investigation, on October 2, 2025, members of the Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at a residence within Chatham, where items reported stolen during the break and sent were recovered.
Further investigation led officers to an address in Sarnia, where two suspects were located and taken into custody. Two young persons, ages 15 and 16, were arrested and charged with break and enter and possession of stolen property. They were later released with a future court date. Due to the efforts of investigators, approximately $5,000 worth of stolen property were recovered and will be returned to the business.
