The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Threats, Arrest- CK25059538

Date: October 2, 2025, Time: 13:19 hrs, Location: Grand Ave. West, Chatham

On October 2, 2025, at approximately 13:19 hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service officers responded to a report of threats made at a local health facility.

The accused, a 52-year-old male from Chatham, entered the lobby of the facility and requested to speak with staff before making threatening statements toward two employees who were not present at the time. Upon officers’ arrival, the accused was located.

Investigations also revealed that on September 10, 2025, the accused had entered a probation order condition not to attend the local health facility except for a pre-scheduled appointment or a medical emergency.

Further investigations revealed that there were reasonable grounds for his arrest.

The individual was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Count #1: Uttering Threats – Cause Death x2
  • Count #2: Failure to Comply with Probation

He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.
