The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 48 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Arrest, Warrants – CK25059052

Date: September 29, 2025, Time: 20:10hrs, Location: Bluewater Bridge, Sarnia

On April 5, 2024, a 23-year-old male from Wallaceburg was placed under a release order which prohibited him from possessing or using cell phones or electronic devices with internet access unless required for work purposes.

Despite thus order, the individual used devices to communicate with witnesses and to access the internet. Investigations determined that, over several months, the accused engaged in prohibited electronic communication and was observed accessing various internet applications. These actions occurred over various occasions in 2024 and 2025. A warrant was issued for his arrest,

On September 25, 2025, at approximately 20:10 hrs, Canadian border Services Agency officers at the Bluewater Bridge, Sarnia arrested the individual on an outstanding warrant.

As a result of the investigation, the accused was charged with the offence:

  • Failure to Comply with Release Order x 6

He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarter where he is currently being held pending bail.

Arrest, Impaired by Drug – CK25059091

Date: September 29, 2025, Time: 02:37hrs, Location: Arnold Street, Wallaceburg

On September 25, 2025, at approximately 02:37 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted a traffic stop in Wallaceburg. A 36-year-old male from Wallaceburg vehicle was stopped and officers formed grounds that the driver was impaired by drugs. During the investigation, police also located drug paraphernalia.

The individual was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he underwent further evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). The evaluation determined that the individual was impaired by drugs.

He was subsequently, charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while Impaired – Drugs
  • Possession for the Purpose of trafficking

He was later released with a scheduled future court date October 14, 2025.

Arrest, Suspicious Person/Arrest – CK25059091

Date: September 30, 2025, Time: 14:58hrs, Location: Chatham Street South, Blenheim

On September 30 at approximately 14:58 hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in the Blenheim area. A complainant, a 63-year-old male from Blenheim, observed an unknown individual inside of his vehicle. When confronted, the suspect was also found to be in possession of stolen property belonging to the complainant.

Officers attended the location and arrested a 43-year-old male from Blenheim. He was charged with the following offences:

  • Theft Under $5000
  • Possession of property under $5,000

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently being held pending a bail hearing.

Arrest, Intimate Partner Violence – CK25059273

Date: September 30, 2025, Time: 19:46 hrs, Location: Chatham

On September 30, 2025, at approximately 19:46 hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress between a 35-year-old male accused and a 28-year-old female victim, from Wallaceburg.

The male suspect fled the scene upon police arrival. Officers located the female individual and determined that a verbal and physical altercation had occurred between the parties, during which an item was thrown at the accused. The female declined medical attention.

Further investigations revealed that the male had engaged in aggressive behaviour towards the female, including physical assault along with verbal threats.

Officers patrolled the area and located the accused. He was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1 – Assault with a Weapon
  • Count 2 – Assault
  • Count 3 – Utter threats

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was released with a scheduled future court date of November 5, 2025.
