The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.
Arrest – CK25056786
Date: September 24, 2025, Time: 13:15hrs, Location: McNaughton Ave. and Gillard St. Wallaceburg
The Chatham-Kent Police Service received several complaints of disruptive behaviour at a Wallaceburg residential complex. These complaints occurred between the period of April and September 2025. Reports included disturbances, property damage and threats made to residents from an individual.
On September 24, 2025, at approximately 13:15 hrs, officers located and arrested a 28-year-old female from Wallaceburg. The individual was charged with the following:
- Mischief – Obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use or enjoyment or operation of property.
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she was later released with conditions and a scheduled court date of October 6, 2025.
Arrest – CK25057844
Date: September 24, 2025, Time: 15:03 hrs, Location: Pine St. Chatham
On September 12, 2025, Chatham-Kent Police Service officers responded to a complaint after an individual was observed damaging emergency lighting inside a local community building in Chatham.
The incident resulted in significant damage to the building’s structure. Video surveillance was also reviewed and the suspect, a 19-year-old male from Blenheim was identified. Officers located and arrested the accused. Subsequently, he was charged with the following:
- Mischief Under $5,000
He was released with the following bail conditions requiring him not to attend or be within 100 metres of the location.
The accused later breached these conditions on two separate occasions thereafter by returning to the location.
On September 24, 2025, officers responded to a report of the same individual attending the location again, breaching his conditions. Officers observed the accused leaving the property and a vehicle stop was conducted, resulting in his arrest.
The individual was subsequently charged with the following offence:
- Failure to Comply with Conditions
The accused was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was later released with a scheduled future court date of October 29, 2025.
