Possession of Stolen Property- CK25051702
Date: August 27, 2025, Time: 08:54hrs Location: Third Street, Chatham
On August 27, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police responded to a break and enter into a garage at a residence on Prince Arthur Avenue in Chatham. Various items including two bicycles were missing from the property.
On August 28, 2025, the complainant spotted a male riding one of the bicycles at an apartment complex on Pine Street in Chatham and was able to recover it after confronting the suspect.
At approximately 08:54 hours police arrived and learned that the second stolen bicycle was observed on a back patio of the suspect’s apartment at the same location. While on scene the suspect returned to the area and was identified. Officers secured the scene and arrested the man for possession of stolen property under $5,000.
A search warrant for the suspect’s apartment was obtained. Upon executing the warrant, officers recovered another stolen bicycle, and other property linked to an additional break and enter.
The 42-year-old Chatham male was transported to police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing. As a result, he was remanded into custody and transported to the Southwest Regional Detention Center until his next court appearance, scheduled for September 4, 2025, by video.

Date: August 28, 2025, Time: 10:36hrs Location: Richmond Street, Chatham
On August 28, 2025, at approximately 10:36 hours, Chatham-Kent Police Service officers located two individuals at retail store on Richmond Street, Chatham. Both of were found to be in violation of their probation order and undertaking by being at the location. Both were arrested and transported to police headquarters, where they were held pending a bail hearing.
A 32-year-old male was released by the court with conditions and a future court date of September 11, 2025. He is currently facing the following charges: theft, possession of stolen property and failing to comply with a probation order.
A 32-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was remanded into custody and transported to the Southwest Regional Detention Center until her next court appearance, scheduled for September 4, 2025, by video. She is currently facing the following charges: 9x theft, 9x possession of stolen property, obstructing a peace officer, failing to attend court, failing to comply with a release order and failing to comply with an undertaking.

Date: August 28, 2025, Time: 11:55hrs Location: Third Street, Chatham
On April 4, 2024, the woman was granted bail by a Justice of the Peace under a Recognizance to Keep the Peace. This included a condition to attend and complete the Changing Ways Partner Assault Response Program within six months and provide proof of completion to the Chatham-Kent Crown Attorney’s office.
The individual began the program on September 12, 2024, but only attended six of the required twelve sessions. She was discharged from the program on November 14, 2024, failing to comply with the conditions of her peace bond.
Subsequently, efforts to locate her were unsuccessful, leading to a request for an arrest warrant for breaching the peace bond. On August 28, 2025, at approximately 11:55 hours, she was located and arrested by Lambton OPP at a location on Oil Heritage Road in Petrolia.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officers attended in Petrolia and transported the 38-year-old Petrolia woman back to Chatham-Kent, where she was held for a bail hearing. As a result, she was transported to Southwest Regional Detention Center and held until her next court appearance on September 11, 2025.
