The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 72 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.

Warrants – CK25048190

Date: August 12, 2025, Time: 15:06 hrs, Location: Murray Street, Wallaceburg

On June 29, 2025, at approximately 15:06 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a mischief complaint in the area of Wallaceburg (CK25037959).

Upon investigation, it was revealed that an accused, a 30-year-old male from Wallaceburg, contacted a complainant, a 21-year-old female also from Wallaceburg. The individual indicated that he intended to attend her residence to engage in a physical altercation.

Shortly after the accused arrived, he began striking and shattering a window of the complainant’s residence. A verbal argument then ensued between the accused and the complainant. The accused left the scene before police arrived and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On August 12, 2025, at approximately 15:06 hrs, police conducted a person stop that led to the arrest of the accused in connection to the endorsed outstanding warrant.

The accused was charged with the following:

  • Count 1 – Mischief Under $5,000

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was released with a scheduled future court date of September 18, 2025.

Date: August 12, 2025, Time: 09:52 hrs, Location: Grand Avenue, Chatham

On July 18, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report that a vehicle had been entered and a wallet was stolen (CL25000299).

The victim, a 26-year-old female from Chatham, stated that there were several unauthorized transactions on her debit card.

Upon investigation and through video surveillance footage obtained from multiple locations, the suspect, a 41-year-old male from Chatham-Kent was identified using the stolen card. A warrant was issued for the individual’s arrest.

On August 12, 2025, at approximately 09:52 hrs, officers located and arrested the accused at court in connection with an outstanding warrant.

The individual was charged with the following:

  • Count 1: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Count 2: Unauthorized Possession of Credit Card

He was later released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of September 10, 2025.
