Break & Enter – CK25046980
Date: August 7, 2025, Time: 05:43hrs, Location: North Street, Dresden
On August 7, 2025, at approximately 05:43hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a break and enter at a residence in Dresden.
The homeowner advised police that he observed an unknown individual breaking into his home through live video surveillance. The suspect was seen entering through a basement window and rummaging through various rooms in the house.
Upon police arrival, the suspect was no longer on scene. However, through further investigation, the surveillance images were obtained which led to the identification of the suspect, a 41-year-old male from Dresden.
Later that day, officers attended a residence in Dresden, where the accused was located and arrested. Subsequently he was charged with the following:
- Count 1: Break and Enter and Commit Theft Under, $5000
The suspect was also wanted for a previous Failure to Comply with his release order conditions related to an earlier incident.
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he is currently being held in custody and is pending bail.

Date: August 7, 2025, Time: 22:59 hrs, Location: Wallaceburg
On August 7, 2025, at approximately, 22:59 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in Wallaceburg.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that a verbal argument occurred between two individuals, a 59-year-old male from Chatham-Kent and a 52-year-old female from Wallaceburg. The argument escalated into a physical altercation, during which the male individual struck the female. Further medical assistance was required.
As a result, the male individual was arrested and charged with the following:
- Count 1: Assault
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a future court date for September 23, 2025.
Arrest/Warrants – CK25047119
Date: August 7, 2025, Time: 22:19 hrs, Location: Chatham
On August 7, 2025, at approximately 22:19 hrs the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an intimate partner violence incident at a local housing facility in Chatham.
Through investigation, officers learned that during an argument the accused, a 42-year-old male from Chatham-Kent physically assaulted a victim, a 52-year-old from Chatham-Kent causing her to lose her balanced and fall. The accused then attempted to choke her. The victim was able to break free and leave the scene. Medical attention was provided, and minor injuries were reported.
The accused was arrested later that day and he was charged with the following offence:
- Count 1: Assault Causing Bodily Harm
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he is currently being held in custody and is pending bail.
