On July 9, 2025, at approximately 18:05 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an attempted robbery outside a local transit station.
A caller reported that a male suspect had approached him and demanded money while holding an object, threatening harm if he did not comply. No injuries were reported.
Officers quickly attended the area and located a 51-year-old male from Chatham-Kent matching the description provided. The individual was arrested and charged with the following:

- Count 2: Uttering Threats – Cause Bodily Harm

On July 9, 2025, at approximately 01:36 hrs the Chatham-Kent police service responded to a report of a break and enter in progress within Chatham. The complainant reported that an individual had entered his residence without permission.
Upon investigation, it was determined that the complainant had ongoing issues involving the same individual. The review of surveillance videos identified the accused as a 56-year-old male from Chatham, who also attempted to break into the complainant’s home on June 28, 2025, including one incident where a physical altercation occurred.
Based on the evidence, the police have grounds to arrest the individual for the following:
- Count 1: Criminal Harassment
- Count 2: Unlawfully in Dwelling
- Count 3: Trespassing at Night
