Impaired Operation- CK25039185
Date: July 4, 2025, Time: 04:37 hrs, Location: Clair St. Chatham

On July 4, 2025, at approximately 04:37 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a motorist requiring assistance in the parking lot of a local business on St. Clair Street, Chatham.
While speaking to the individual, officers detected signs of impairment. The driver, a 28-year-old male, was found to be intoxicated and failed a roadside screening test. He was subsequently transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for further testing, where he provided two breath samples.
The results of the breath tests registered as 170 mg and 150 mg of alcohol in 100 mL of blood. The driver was charged with the following:
• Operation While Impaired- Blood alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

He was released with a scheduled future court date of July 22, 2025.

Utter threats – CK25039223
Date: July 5, 2025, Time: 11:31 hrs, Location: Lacroix St., Chatham

On July 5, 2025, at approximately 11:31 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a disturbance at a financial institution.
Upon investigation, it was determined that a 51-year-old male from Chatham-Kent had attended the bank requesting a new bank card and attempted to withdraw funds from an account with insufficient balance. When denied service, the individual became agitated and threatened a staff member of the bank.
As a result, the individual was arrested and charged with the following:
• Uttering Threats- Causing death or Bodily Harm
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters. He was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of August 11, 2025.

Harassment- CK25039570
Date: July 6, 2025, Time: 0024 hrs., Location: Nichols Ave. Erieau

On July 6, 2025, at approximately 0024 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service Communications Centre began receiving repeated calls to the non-emergency line from the same phone number. The calls continued into early morning hours.
Upon investigation, a total of thirty calls were made over the span of several hours. The caller did not have a legitimate emergency to report. Subsequently, officers attended a residence in Erieau, where a 46-year-old male from Erieau, as located.
Following further investigation, the individual was arrested and charged with the following:
• Count 1: Harassing Communications
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters. He was released with a scheduled future court date of July 28, 2025.
