R.I.D.E Program

Originating in Etobicoke in 1977, the R.I.D.E. program first started as a local initiative to reduce impaired driving in the west end of Metropolitan Toronto. The event’s success led to Canada-wide adoption of R.I.D.E., now known as Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere. R.I.D.E. programs operate year-round, with a heavier emphasis during the winter holidays.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community. We continue to monitor ongoing investigations and encourage residents to report any suspicious activities to assist in maintaining public safety.
