Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 183 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Five people were arrested and three on an outstanding warrant.
Mischief/Hate Crime – 325 Grand Ave East Chatham CK24062041
On December 1,2024 at 7:30 am a citizen was out for a walk in the area of 325 Grand Ave East Chatham. A community garden shed is located at this location. Sometime over the weekend the shed was sprayed with hate-motivated graffiti. Fail to stop/Vehicle towed Murray St Wallaceburg CK24062137
On December 2,2024 at 7:31 pm an officer on patrol attempted to pull over a truck that was driving erratically on Murray Street Wallaceburg. The vehicle failed to stop for Police and fled the area. Through investigation the truck was located at another location. The truck was found to have improper plates and towed. This occurrence is still under investigation.

RIDE (Reduce impaired driving everywhere CK24062170
The Chatham-Kent Police continues to make the roads safe and reduce impaired driving. On December 2,2024 in the evening hours Officers set up RIDE lanes in Thamesville and Chatham where 62 vehicles were checked, no tests were administered, and 2 Provincial Offence notices issue under the Highway Traffic.
