Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 160 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Six people were arrested and one on an outstanding warrant.
Stolen Vehicle recovered Selton Line, Thamesville CK24061982
At 12:07 am on December 2,2024 an officer on Patrol attempted to stop a pick up truck. The vehicle attempted to avoid the officer. The truck eventually ended up in a small ditch on Selton Line Thamesville and the lone driver was arrested. A 29-year-old Ridgetown man was transported to Chataham-Kent Headquarters where he was charged with Possession over $5000, Dangerous driving and Flight from police.
The man also had warrants for failing to comply with release order and breach of conditional sentence order. The man was held for bail.
IPV ARREST St George St, Dresden. CK24061868
At 8:57 am on December 1st,2024 the Police were contacted for a disturbance call on St George Street Dresden. A 25 year old Windsor man had forced his way into an apartment at this location. The Police responded and found the man and he was placed under arrest. The man was currently on conditions not to be at this location or to be around the woman who resided there. The man was transported to Chatham-Kent H.Q. and charged with Break and enter, failing to comply with release order and mischief (X2). The man was held for a bail hearing.
Trespass to Property Act. Maragret Ave Wallaceburg. CK24061931
At 5:45 pm December 1st,2024 a call was received for a woman refusing to leave the Hospital by Security and staff at the Hospital. A 49-year-old woman was arrested and removed from the location. She was eventually charged under the Trespass to Property Act and released.
Bail violations Grand Avenue West Chatham CK24061975
At 11:24 pm on December 1st,2024 a call was received for an unwanted woman at a local business on Grand Ave West Chatham. A 32-year-old woman was on a release from previous occurrences not to attend the Variety Store. The woman continued to ignore her release orders, was placed under arrest, and transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters. The woman was held for bail.
