Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 194 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Eight people were arrested and six were on outstanding warrants.
IPV Disturbance / Bail Violations Bruce St, Wallaceburg CK24058068/CK24058079
A call was received at 10:39 am for a disturbance on Bruce Street Wallaceburg. Police arrived and found a man and woman at this location. While investigating it was found that both the man and woman were on conditions not to be around each other. A 41-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were both arrested at taken to Chatham-Kent Headquarters and charged with Failing to comply with a release order. They were released with a future court date.
The 42-Year-old woman also had outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court.
Stolen truck /recovered Longwoods road Thamesville CK24058030
A 3:30 am a local business on Longwoods road Thamesville had their compound entered and a company vehicle taken. A citizen had seen a post on Facebook about the theft. While driving in the Dresden area a white truck was observed in a field at 8:30 pm and Police were contacted. It was confirmed that it was the stolen truck from earlier in the day. The registered owners were contacted and retrieved the truck.
Motor vehicle collision River Line/Harwich Road Chatham-Kent CK24058176
At 12:01 am a motor vehicle was travelling on River Line at Harwich Road in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. A deer ran out onto the road and was struck resulting in $8000 in damage to the vehicle. There were no injuries to the driver.
