On April 22, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police were called to a residence in Camden Township for an assault investigation. Through investigation the officer learned an incident involving two men escalated into a consensual altercation following an exchange of hostile text messages. The confrontation occurred at a private residence, where both parties were reportedly under the influence of alcohol.
Following the fight, one individual expressed frustration and proceeded to vandalize the other’s vehicle by smashing the driver-side mirror and standing on the roof, resulting in damage.
On April 28, 2025, at 11:43 hours the 30-year-old Thamesville man turned himself in to the police. He was charged with mischief under $5000 and released with conditions and a court date of May 26, 2025.
Breach of Recognizance- Case# CK25024397

Details:
A man has been arrested following a breach of recognizance in connection with a domestic incident that occurred on October 19, 2024. The accused, a 29-year-old Wallaceburg resident, was bound by specific conditions as part of a recognizance agreement entered into on May 13, 2024.
On the evening of the incident, police received a call regarding a domestic disturbance at a location on James Street in Wallaceburg. Initial reports indicated that the accused had contacted the police, claiming that the victim attempted to run him over, resulting in a collision with a nearby building. However, video surveillance footage revealed that the accused was a passenger in a vehicle that reversed into the structure, after which he exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
Despite efforts to locate the accused, he remained at large until April 28, 2025, when he was located by Walpole Island Police. He was subsequently arrested on the warrant issued for breach of recognizance and has been released with a court date scheduled for May 26, 2025.

Details:
A man was arrested for multiple offences, including theft and mischief, on October 23, 2024, at Ursuline College. The accused was observed using bolt cutters to steal bicycles from the school’s courtyard and was found nearby with one of the stolen bicycles.
During the arrest, officers discovered bolt cutters, and a debit card not legally issued in his name, violating a probation order established on April 8, 2024. He was processed at Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters.
After failing to attend a scheduled court date related to this incident, a warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 28, 2025, he was located and arrested by Chatham-Kent Police. He has been released with a future court date set for May 12, 2025.
