The Chatham-Kent Police Service has executed a search warrant at a rural property in the Thamesville area as part of an ongoing investigation into two recent break and enter incidents in Wallaceburg.

On February 14 and February 16, 2026, officers from the Community Patrol Branch responded to separate break and enter incidents at a business on Arnold Street in Wallaceburg. Through continued investigation, members of the Intelligence Unit obtained information that led investigators to believe evidence related to these offences was located at a residence near Thamesville.

On February 26, 2026, members of the Intelligence Unit, with assistance from the Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at the property.

During the search, officers located a vehicle believed to have been used in both break and enter incidents. Two individuals, a 39-year-old male and a 38-year-old female both from Thamesville were arrested and charged with two counts of Break and Enter and Commit.

They were transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held pending a bail hearing. The investigation remains ongoing.
