Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 242 calls for service in the last 24 hours. 12 people were arrested and 7 were on outstanding warrants.

Chatham Man Arrested on Warrants- CK26015866 / CK26015640
On Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at approximately 9:00 a.m., while on general patrol, officers located a 58-year-old Chatham man who was known to have an outstanding warrant in relation to a break and enter investigation.
The 58-year-old Chatham man was arrested, processed, and released with a future court date.
He is currently facing one count of break and enter, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Chatham Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant- CK26015881
On Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m., a 58-year-old woman from Chatham, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in relation to her failing to attend court.
The 58-year-old woman was arrested under the strength of the warrant, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for processing, and was later released with a future court date.
Blenheim Man Arrested for Impaired Driving- CK26015963
On Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report from concerned citizens of a possible impaired driver that had left a local business on Marlborough Street in Blenheim.
Through further investigation, the driver, a 57-year-old male from Blenheim was located shortly after the initial call and displayed signs of impairment. He was subsequently placed under arrest.
The individual was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters for further breath testing, where he provided two samples above the legal limit.
He was charged with the following offences:
• Operation while Impaired
• Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was later released with a scheduled future court date.
Chatham Man Arrested for Impaired Driving- CK26015988
On Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at approximately 7:40 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a possible impaired driver at a local gas station on Queen Street in Chatham.
Upon arrival, a Standardized Field Sobriety Test was conducted and the driver a 34-year-old male from Chatham was arrested for impaired operation by drug. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
As a result of the investigation, the accused charged with:
• Impaired Operation – Drug
The accused was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where further tests were conducted, and processing was completed. Subsequently, he was released with a future court date for the above charge.
Chatham Man Arrested for Failing to Comply with Probation- CK26015997
On Wednesday, March 6th, 2026, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an unwanted person loitering and refusing to leave the common area of a residential building in Chatham.
Upon arrival, officers located a local 37-year-old male who was bound by a probation order that requires him to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The accused was arrested and charged with the following offence:
• Count 1: Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The individual was arrested, removed from the property and subsequently released with a future court date.
Thamesville Man Arrested for Failing to Comply with Release Order – CK26016009
On Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an unresponsive male in the washroom inside a local restaurant in Blenheim.
Upon arrival, officers located the male and confirmed he was not in need of medical assistance. Police identified him as a 22-year-old male from Thamesville who was bound by a release order and was violating his curfew condition.
The accused was arrested and charged with the following offence:
• Count 1: Failure to Comply with Release Order- other than to attend court
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was processed and held for bail.
