The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Arrest/Warrant – CK26010473

Date: February 10, 2026, Time: 11:10 hrs., Location: Third Street., Chatham

On January 21, 2026, at approximately 10:11 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report a of break and enter incident at a business located on King Street West Chatham (CK26005386).

Investigations revealed that an accused entered the premises, stole several tools and exited. Through surveillance, the accused was identified as a 43-year-old male from Chatham-Kent. Officers formed reasonable grounds to charge the accused with the following offence:

  • Count 1: Break, Enter a place -Commit Indictable Offence

Subsequently, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On February 10, 2026, at approximately 11:10 hrs., the accused was located on Third Street, Chatham. He was arrested on the strength of his outstanding warrant. The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of June 10, 2026.

Arrest/Warrant – CK26010483

Date: February 10, 2026, Time: 11:10 hrs., Location: Third Street, Chatham

On October 16, 2025, at approximately 11:03 hr., Chatham-Kent Police Service officers responded to a report of a disturbance on King Street East, Chatham.

Upon arrival, officers determined that two individuals had been involved in a physical altercation where one male was thrown over the top of his vehicle by an accused, causing damage to the front passenger side panel of the vehicle.

The accused, identified as a 40-year-old male from Chatham-Kent was arrested for the following:

  • Count 1: Mischief under $5,000

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was released with conditions requiring him to report to the Chatham-Kent Police Service on every Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to sign in as required, commencing on September 27, 2025. The accused failed to comply with his release order and subsequently, a warrant was issued for his arrest (RM2600536).

On February 10, 2026, at approximately 11:24 hrs., the accused was located at the intersection of Centre Street and School Street, Chatham. He was arrested on the strength of his outstanding warrant. The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where, he is currently held for bail.

Arrest/Warrant – CK26010545

Date: February 10, 2026, Time: 18:01 hrs., Location: St. Clair St., Tilbury

On May 29, 2024, at approximately 4:52 hr., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a threats complaint at a residence in Tilbury.

Investigations revealed that the accused, a 56-year-old male from Tilbury was engaged in a verbal altercation with two individuals on separate occasions and made verbal threats to them. During a search incident to arrest the accused officers located ammunition and a quantity of suspected methamphetamine.

As a result of the investigation, the accused was arrested charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Uttering threats to cause death
  • Count 2: Uttering threats to cause death
  • Count 3: Possession of Substance
  • Count 4: Ammunition; knowledge of unauthorized possession

The accused failed to attend court on several occasions and subsequently a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On February 10, 2026, at approximately 18:01 hrs., the accused was located during a person stop on St. Clair St., Tilbury. He was arrested on the strength of his outstanding warrant. The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he is currently held for bail.
