Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 251 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested, and one was on an outstanding warrant.
Woman Arrested for Mischief CK24044968
At 9:47 a.m., police responded to Queen Street in Wallaceburg for a mischief investigation.
During the investigation, officers discovered that a dispute between two women led to one woman damaging the other’s vehicle. Also, during a recent encounter, she also threatened to harm her.
The 25-year-old Walpole Island woman was later located and arrested. She was transported to police headquarters, where she was released with conditions and a future court date of September 23, 2024. She has been charged with uttering threats and mischief.

On September 3, 2024, at 11:20 p.m., police attended the man’s residence to conduct a compliance check. When the man was found not following his curfew condition a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On September 12, 2024, at 10:11 a.m., the man attended the Ontario Court of Justice and was arrested on the outstanding warrant for bail violations. He was held pending a bail hearing.
The 47-year-old Chatham man was facing the following charges: break and enter, possession of stolen property and three counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
As a result of the bail hearing the man was sentenced to 110 days in custody followed by 24 months of probation. He was transported to Southwest Regional Detention Centre.
Man Arrested for Assault CK24045037
At 3:40 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on King Street West in Chatham.
Officers learned the man and the woman engaged in a verbal argument that escalated when the man assaulted the woman. The woman sustained minor physical injury.
The man left prior to police arrival but was located a short distance away.
The 25-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a future court date of September 16, 2024. He has been charged with assault and assault causing bodily harm.

At 7:57 p.m., police began an intimate partner violence investigation that had occurred in Chatham on September 8, 2024.
During the investigation, the officer learned about a physical altercation that occurred while the man and the woman were in a vehicle. After the incident, the man continued to harass the woman through phone calls and social media, and showing up at her home, despite being told that his contact was unwanted.
The man was contacted and advised of the investigation. He later attended police headquarters and turned himself in to the police.
The 24-year-old Airdrie, Alberta man was arrested and held pending a bail hearing. He has been charged with two counts of assault and two counts of criminal harassment.
